"
A modern day player wants to learn from his coach. He wants to enjoy training at the same time as learning from the coach he is working under.
In today's game players need to know why they are asked to do certain things on a training pitch and during a game, and so a coach needs to be able to apply the tactics and answer the questions that are posed to him by the players.
Having worked with David Platt at England Under 21 level I can say that his training sessions were enjoyable and the players learned from them as well. The course he has designed will benefit anyone who is looking to improve their knowledge of the game."

"
Some time ago I wrote to David Platt requesting an hour of his time to talk to him and hopefully broaden my knowledge of football coaching. The hour stretched to a couple and was both interesting and informative, but was not long enough to fully understand the complexities of the game and things that he was talking about. Fortunately for me he had the idea of operating a home study course and asked me to be a " Guinea Pig ".
The course has helped me to think in more detail when specific situations arise and I am finding it very enjoyable. It has helped me to develop my own ideas and principles to the questions posed and elaborating on them as the feedback is returned is an excellent manner to learn and easy to understand. The modules are challenging but are an excellent learning aid. I would recommend the course to anyone interested in furthering their knowledge of the game as I feel it has been invaluable to me.
Although I am only part way through the modules, I am much more able to deal with problems as they arise for me in my coaching environment."
